TOUR ITINERARY :

  • Day 1 – Reporting and Orientation, Ride from New Delhi to Manali (2,050m) (536km) Today you will arrive in New Delhi and transfer to your hotel. You will meet the other participants of the trek here and engage in a brief orientation directed by your tour guide. Enjoy an overnight stay in the city to get a good night’s rest before embarking on your exciting Manali to Leh bike trip the following day. Rise early this morning and assemble your belongings as you check out of your hotel. Gear up and embark on the long day of riding with your newfound team and head out on the National Highway 1. After a few hours of driving amidst exciting pastures of farmlands, encounter the pristine city of Chandigarh. Lose yourself into the tranquil mountains as you drive on to Manali. Arrive in this exquisite hamlet and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 – Rest Day in Manali Head out on this morning to explore the beautiful attractions of Manali and Naggar., located at a short distance of 30 minutes from each other. Stopover at the virtuous temple of Hadimba in Manali, which stands amidst Deodar forests with a tiered wooden roof that is designed to resemble a Buddhist Pagoda. A bath in the popular hot sulphur springs at the Vashisht Village cannot be missed due to its soothing medicinal properties. Purchase necessary items in the markets here before you return to your lodge and retire for the night.

  • Day 3 – Ride from Manali (2,050m) to Sarchu (4,290m) (235km) Hit the road today and progress to Sarchu. Embark on this 235km ride that will take you on the National Highway 3 amidst spectacles of amazing jungles of coniferous trees. Passing through the town of Rohtang, you will head to Keylong to be welcomed by mesmerizing views of open meadow lands. As you ride ahead towards Spiti and Lahaul districts, witness the evaporation of the greenery as a carpet of brown dominates the scenery. Arrive in Sarchu and retreat into your tents for an overnight stay.

  • Day 4 – Ride from Sarchu (4,290m) to Leh (3,500m) (230km) Revel in the views of magnificent sunrise as you wake up embark on the expedition through the valleys of Tanglang La, the second highest motorable road in the world. With a remarkable altitude of 17,582 feet, this ‘highway to hell’, as it is popularly known, is full of tricky turns and rock-strewn pavements that must be approached with caution. Arrive in Leh and after a delightful dinner check-in to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

  • Day 5 – Rest Day in Leh After a scrumptious breakfast, enjoy a laid-back day as you discover the native spectacles of Leh. Explore the surroundings, which include the likes of the Leh Palace, the historic War Museum, the legendary Shanti Stupa and the sacred Jama Masjid among others. Consider running a meticulous check on your motorbikes to escape any troubles before you jump into bed to unwind and reenergize for the leh ladakh motorbike tour that follows the next morning.

  • Day 6 – Ride from Leh (3,500 m) to Pangong Tso (4,250m) (164 km) Begin Day 6 of this exquisite rider’s paradise by heading to the spectacular Pangong Tso Lake through the Chang La Pass, the third highest motorable pass on earth at 17,586 feet. Make a pit stop en route to visit the tranquil Buddhist monasteries of Thiksey, Hemis and Shey. Take your bike to the Pangong Lake, pictured in the movie 3 Idiots. Pitch your tents here amongst the dreamy setting and rest.

  • Day 7 – Ride from Pangong Tso (4,250m) to Leh (3,500m) (164km) Today’s morning cannot get any better as you wake up to the sapphire waters of the Pangong Tso! Feast on the sights and instigate on your journey towards Leh. A charming experience awaits you en route where you halt by the celebrated school of ‘Phunsuk Wangdu’ from the famous Hindi movie by the name of 3 Idiots. Return back on the road and drive to Leh, where you will retire into the hotel.

  • Day 8 – Ride from Leh to Nubra Valley (3,050m) (via Khardung La Pass) (150km) Embark from the settlement of Leh after a succulent breakfast and head out towards the Nubra Valley. En route you will cross the legendary Khardung La Pass which at 18,380ft, is the highest motorable pass in the world. Arrive in the majestic Nubra Valley and pitch your tents for an overnight stay.

  • Day 9 – Ride from Nubra Valley (3,050m) To Leh (3,500m) (150 km) Today before embarking on the ride, unwind for a while with a local exploration of the Diskit and Hunder villages. A camel ride through the villages ought to bring in an exciting turn to exploration of indigenous landscapes. Head on to take a relaxing plunge in the hot water springs at Panamik that will work their therapeutic charms on your muscles. Travel back to Leh via the immaculate beauty of Khardung La Pass; overnight stay in Leh.

  • Day 10 – Ride from Leh (3,500 m) to Kargil (2,680 m) (213 km) Following a brief stopover at Leh, start on an onward journey through the eminent town of Kargil. Remember to pay your respects at the Lamayuru Monastery that rests en route this course. Upfront on this runway, you will pass the exquisite Fotu La Pass that marks as the highest spot on the road running from Leh to Srinagar. Follow this road to descend into Kargil and Pitch tents here at the basecamp for an overnight stay.
